About the company

CoreFiling is a privately-held company registered in England. We are one of Europe's leading XML vendors, with a substantial history in the successful design, publication and validation of XML and XBRL. Our success is based on tools and services created with an uncompromising commitment to engineering excellence.

The company is an active member of the XBRL Consortium which promotes the adoption of the standard and oversees its development. Our CEO is the immediate past Chairman of the XBRL Standards Board and sits on the International Steering Committee. Our staff also play leading roles in the key Rendering, Versioning and Base Specification & Maintenance working groups.

CoreFiling - a brief history

DecisionSoft Limited was founded in Oxford, England, in 1997. In 2005 we entered into an agreement with Business Wire, a US news wire service, to set up a joint business which was incorporated as CoreFiling Limited. Since then, CoreFiling and DecisionSoft have established a solid presence in the international markets. Towards the end of 2008 DecisionSoft acquired Business Wire's share of CoreFiling Limited, after which we merged the two businesses.

We decided to consolidate the world-wide businesses of the two companies around a single brand name, CoreFiling. The sole reason for making the change was to benefit from bringing the two brands together. The DecisionSoft name was well-known and respected, particularly in the United Kingdom, but we chose to switch to the CoreFiling name because of its stronger presence internationally.

Since August 2009, all our business has been carried out under the CoreFiling name.
