A Version for Every Need

A VERSION FOR EVERY NEED

Scalable

We recognise that when it comes to taxonomy development, one size does not fit all. You don't need a multi-user, repository-backed taxonomy development environment to create a three concept extension to IFRS. Equally, anything short of full support for concurrent multi-user editing just won't cut it for a large scale, cross-department or cross-jurisdiction taxonomy development effort. This is why SpiderMonkey comes in a range of packages, starting with a completely free, no-strings attached single user desktop Personal Version, and building up to an enterprise-level, repository-backed multi-user version.

So what?

XBRL professionals and new-comers alike have been crying out for a tool that meets their varied needs. SpiderMonkey is a truly enterprise-class tool, with an enterprise-class heritage. Whether you need it once a quarter or every day, SpiderMonkey should be your tool of choice.

What's the catch with the Personal Version?

So...I can get this enterprise class tool, designed for the accountant and analyst, not just XBRL geeks, for free? And I can use it for commercial and non-commercial uses? Yup. That pretty much sums it up.

Here's the fine print: 1. We don't offer support for the Personal Version. You can help build a community of support by downloading the tool and contributing to the on-line forum. Or, if you would like us to help you, you can buy the Professional Version. The Professional Version will get more features and get them earlier, but the Personal Version is extremely capable. 2. Read the EULA (in the download site) for details, but we obviously can't be responsible if something goes wrong. 3. This is not the enterprise version: no multi-user features. Sorry. Contact us if you would like information about the Enterprise Version. We'll be very happy to help. 4. We seek a range of personally identifying information about you and we reserve the right not to provide copies of the tool to our competitors. If you fill in the registration form with a bunch of phony data, or just insufficient information, we'll need you to tell us a bit more about yourself before you are given access to the download pages. That's about it. Happy taxonomy building!
