CoreFiling's Seahorse selected for iXBRL service by Unit4
February 15, 2011
CoreFiling, software vendor and inventor of the iXBRL standard last week announced its formal partnership with Unit4 Business Software as it gears up for the roll-out of its File4 solution.
Under the terms of the agreement, Unit4 will have rights to market, sell and support their own 'File4' branded version of Seahorse, CoreFiling's predictive iXBRL tagging software for Microsoft Word-based accounts.
Organisations and their accountants need a solution that lets them quickly, easily and accurately add iXBRL tags to their documents so they can meet HMRC's iXBRL e-filing standards for the April 2011 HMRC mandate. It will be mandatory for all Corporation Tax returns to be filed online with computations and accounts in iXBRL format. File4 will support UK GAAP, IFRS and Charities taxonomies. The File4, Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) solution will provide iXBRL capable tax e-filing capabilities to a wide market sector.
John Turner, Chief Executive Officer of CoreFiling, said; "We are delighted that Seahorse looks set to be the definitive choice for so many of the UK's leading companies. Unit4 and CoreFiling look forward to providing a simple, straight-forward solution to the iXBRL challenge. Crucially, this offering requires no other process change for hard pressed accounting professionals."
